Hyperlink 4
Wilhelmshaven - Bremen
Sub-project Hyperlink 4 will make it possible to import hydrogen from the North Sea region and elsewhere and to transport hydrogen imported or produced in the port of Wilhelmshaven to north-western Europe. This will connect the port of Wilhelmshaven directly to the hydrogen network. The Hyperlink network will, in this way, eventually offer direct access to large industrial clusters and urban centres in and around Brunsbüttel, Hamburg, Bremen, Hanover and Salzgitter. Moreover, the Hyperlink network will open up access to potential hydrogen storage facilities in Etzel, Nüttermoor, Jemgum, Harsefeld and Huntorf (in cooperation with another hydrogen network operator). Gasunie is currently actively planning this Hyperlink 4 section in detail, taking into account all changes in market conditions.
